Helen Marie Lynn, 93, of McDonald died Sunday, May 17, 2015. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 13, 1921. She lived most of her life in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was preceded in in death by her brother, Ed Buchanan; a son, Richard Hudson; and two grandsons, Tony Romita and Frank Martin.
She is survived by daughters, JoAnn Adams, Kay Hudson Seaborn, and Cindy Lynn Gilbert (Stan); sons, Daniel Lynn, and George Lynn (Lynda) ; step-son, Jim Lynn; grandchildren, Melody Adams Romita, Kem Adams, Brigette Adams, Steve Adams, Shannon Hudson, Shane Hudson, Wendy Hudson, Richie Hudson, Greg Seaborn, Brian Randolph, Melanie Lynn, Daniel Lynn, and Samantha Lynn; several great and great great grandchildren, who she loved dearly; niece, Barbara Buchanan , and several nieces and nephews.
She spent most of her life helping others. She did a collection routine in the 1960’s for the Salvation Army in Cleveland, Tennessee. She worked for the Community Action Program and Human Services. She touched many lives and was surrounded by people who loved her.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 Tuesday evening.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or Catholic Charities.
