Ina Robinson

Ina Robinson, 97, of Ooltewah, TN, went home to be with the Lord on her 97th Birthday, Saturday, December 5, 2015. A lifelong resident of the Ooltewah area, she was the daughter of the late Lydia Thomas and John Watkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband Winfred Robinson and a son Donald Robinson; sisters Ruth Howard and Geneva Steed; brothers Charles Watkins, W.L. Thomas and Dillard Thomas.

Survivors include her son David (Debbie) Robinson; daughter Dean (Edgar) Thurman; brother Butch Blassingame; grandchildren Tammy (Jody) Jones, Craig (Kim) Thurman, Kelly Lewis, Debbie (Vanor) Blake, Diane (John) Watson and Dawn (Jeremy) Conner; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and one on the way.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Siskin Children’s Institute, 1101 Carter Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402 or at: siskin.org.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Valley View Chapel with Pastor Collin Cooke officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be, Craig Thurman, Jody Jones, Joel Jones, Butch Blassingame, Steve Lewis, John Watson and Vanor Blake.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
