James B. “Logan” Hindman, 86, of Birchwood, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010.
Logan was retired from TVA and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army.
He was the preceded in death by his wife, Cornie Hindman; parents, Tom and Ethel Hindman; brother, George D. Hindman; and sister, Inez Bowman.
Survivors are four sons; Michael of Chattanooga, William of Birchwood, Dennis of Ooltewah and James Jr. of Waycross, Ga.; daughter, Darla Kaye Summers of Athens, AL; five sisters, Ruth Shahan, Bernice Henry, Johnnie Anderson, Marilyn Gann and Nancy Hindman; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren
Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, August 12 at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Goodman, nephew of Mr. Hindman officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 until 8 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
