Mike grew up in Rossville, GA, attended Lakeview High School, and lived in Chattanooga as an adult. He served his country in Vietnam before working for various Chattanooga employers, including Dupont, Arcade Printing, and Amazon.
Known as Papaw or Miker Boy by the children in his life, Mike was a man of simple tastes, a mischievous nature, and a big heart. He was a lifelog fan of Dale Earnhardt, the Atlanta Braves, and the Tennessee Vols, and was the kind of man who built a pool in his yard just so all the kids in his life had a place to gather and play, regardless of their age.
Mike is preceded by his parents Ernestine Brewer and James Sterling Keen.
Mike will be greatly missed by his wife of 29 years, Debra Combs Keen, stepchildren Kenneth Walker and Pamela Parker, grandchildren Cole Walker (Corey), Kayla McGowan (Derrick), Tyler Walker, Brandon Walker, Caitlin Miller, and Stephen Parker, sisters Kathryn Gregory (Tommy) and Paula Southwood, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes, the family will not be holding a service. Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home.
