Jeffrey was born in St. Joseph, Michigan, to the late David Halsted and Diane Brockway Davis. He worked as a Sheriff's Deputy in Florida and came to NC to help his widowed mother. He loved America with all his heart. He loved dogs, especially German Shepherds.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Halsted and his loving step-father, Jack Davis.
Jeff Halsted is survived by his mother, Diane Davis, and siblings, Sherry Lynn Kleckner, Lori Orr, and her husband Jerome Orr, as well as his niece, Kelli Ann Kleckner, and his uncle Dale Brockway and his wife Wanda. He had many cousins to whom he loved dearly.
A private Memorial of Life will be held at a later time.
