John N. DeArmond, 62, of Harrison, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a retired floor covering specialist. He was a graduate of Central High School and had attended U.T.C. and was a member of the KAPPA Sigma Fraternity. The son of the late Richard and Rosetta Nichols DeArmond he was also preceded in death a brother, Richard C. DeArmond, Jr.. Survivors include his long time companion Pat Manies; four daughters, Laura Wilson, Nashville, Jenifer Kraus, CA, Heather Warner, OK and Alicia DeArmond, Chattanooga; son, John Clifton DeArmond, Sweetwater, TN; 15 grandchildren and a brother, Lee DeArmond, VA. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Visitation with the family will be from 12-2 p.m. before the service. Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
