

Iwan John “Big John” Lyzanchuk, 79 of Collegedale, TN, passed away Friday evening, January 21, 2011 at his residence. A native of Musidora, Alberta, Canada, he moved to Collegedale in 1973 when he accepted the position as in-store manager of the bakery department at the Village Market. In 1983 he opened the Tri-Sum Bakery in Collegedale and operated it until his retirement. He was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church and was preceded in death by his son, Rene’ Lyzanchuk; three sisters, Mildred Trynchuk, Dora Trynchuk and Nancy Verbitsky. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Agnes Lyzanchuk; three daughters, Audrienne Andreika Williams and husband Buddy, McDonald, TN, Bonnie Hubbell and husband James, Ooltewah, TN and Cheryl Pacheco and husband Mike, San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Patrick Andreika, Shane Andreika and Sierra Pacheco; sister, Ann Tchir, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church with Dr. Gordon Beitz and Pastor Victor Czerkasij officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at the church before the service on Wednesday. A private interment will be in the Collegedale Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
