Joyce Bloom

She was born in Polk County, Tennessee on May 8, 1942 to the late John and Grace Wright.

Joyce worked many years in retail management throughout Chattanooga and later worked as a caregiver doing private sitting.

She attended Calvary Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Bloom and sister, Linda Gray.

Survivors include her three children, Michael (Joy) Wooden, of East Ridge, TN, Rhonda (Butch) Queen, of Signal Mountain, TN, Allen Wooden, of Rossville, GA, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, sister, Lorene Scoggins, of Birchwood, TN, brother, Bobby Wright, of Kingston, TN, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor James Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2017, and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the funeral home.
