Katherine Elizabeth Galloway, 98, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 surrounded by her family. A native of Nashville, TN, she has been a resident of the Chattanooga area most of her life. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was the daughter of the late Dewitt and Katie Sadler and was the wife of the late Rev. Cliff Galloway.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Alice (Jerry) Cotter, McDonald, TN; son Joe (Cheryl) Galloway; grandchildren, Shannon (Daniel) Sheets, Chattanooga, Stacy (Lamar) Mills, Cleveland, Kristen (Tim) Clounch, Chattanooga, Keith (Jennifer) Galloway, Knoxville and Katie (Nick) Burrows, Chattanooga; 11 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to the staff at Southern Oaks Assisted Living for the special love and care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1505 North Moore Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Courtney Krueger officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
