Mr. Eaton was born and raised in Chattanooga. He graduated from Central High School Class of 1954, was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church, and retired after 42 ½ years at Chattanooga Paper Mill/Rock Tenn. His earlier hobbies included gardening and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Eaton; parents, Robert and Leola Eaton; and brothers, Elwood and Merriel Eaton.
Surviving are his sons, Robert L. Eaton and Derrick (Janet) Eaton; grandchildren, Samantha (Andrew) Sisk and Cooper Eaton; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the funeral home.
