He was preceded in death by his father Lum Walker, brother, L. Gene Walker and a sister, Helen Dye.
He was a former corrections officer with the Hayes Facility.
Survivors include his three children, Kim Standridge, Gainesville, GA., Jordan Walker, Ooltewah, Taylor Walker, Chattanooga, three grandchildren, Macie Evans, Nathan Phillips, Brittney Griffith, mother, Mary Walker, Ooltewah, six brothers and sisters, Edward Cruse, Rossville, GA., Geraldine Blanks, Harrison, Margie Newby, Clara Cross, Lucy Russell, Denise Dye, all of Chattanooga, his fiancée, Louise Dunn and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral home with Rev. Jim Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in Ooltewah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
