Mr. Howington was a Vietnam Veteran and served aboard the USS Sarsfield. Luke was employed with Carter Heating & Air before starting his own company, Luke Heating & Air.
Luke was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Olen and Ellie Mae; in-laws, Bessie and Lester Walker; brother, Henry, Frank, Raymond, Leonard Howington; and sisters, Matti Lou Hix, Myrtle Roach, Brenda Walker Carter and Chet Walker.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Charlotte Walker Howington; children, Stacy and Matthew (Mary Ann) Howington; 2 loves of his life, grandchildren, Brayden and Brynna Howington; and brother, Olen Jr. (Cindy) Howington. Luke had an extended family: Ann Smith, Kay (Jim) Pilkinton, Jimmy (Joy) Walker and Art Walker; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Borders, Pastor Billy Denham and Mr. Al Emery officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
