Lynette Bacon Goins

Lynette Bacon Goins, age 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. Lynette was the cherished daughter of the late Reed and Bessie Bacon, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis H. Goins.

Lynette was a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of many. As a co-owner of Bacon Products Corporation in Chattanooga, she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Yet, beyond her professional life, Lynette's greatest joy was always her family. She had an undeniable love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, finding immense pride and joy in their lives. Her devotion to her loved ones was evident in everything she did, and her legacy will live on through them.

She was a lifelong lover of books, finding solace and joy in reading, and she shared this passion with those around her. Whether it was through conversation, shared laughter, or the quiet comfort of reading together, Lynette’s warmth and kindness radiated from her in everything she did.

Lynette is survived by her two children, April G. Holden (Mike) of McDonald, TN, and Lewis H. Goins, Jr. (Rhonda) of Whitwell, TN. She also leaves behind her grandson, Brandon Goins, step-granddaughter, Stacy Byers (Traves), and three great-grandsons, Andrew, Trevor, and Matthew Byers. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Gass, and her brother, Reed L. Bacon, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor David Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East, with Kyle Grove, Damean Sawyer, Bobby Boucher, Mile Holden, Lee Gass, Andrew Byers, Trevor Byers, and Matthew Byers serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the funeral home.
