Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Michael was the son of the late Mike E. Conry, Jr., and Bessie Lee Long Conry. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathie Conry; his three precious children, Amanda, Kristal, and Erik Conry; and his brother-in-law, Eddie Wilson.
Michael was a 1971 graduate of Notre Dame High School. Throughout his life, he had a love for animals and especially enjoyed riding horses in his younger years. He spent much of his working life as a truck driver, a career that carried him along many roads. When he wasn't working, Michael enjoyed following one of his favorite pastimes—NASCAR racing. He was also a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church.
Michael leaves behind family who will remember him with love and cherish the memories they shared. His survivors include his brother, Mark (Lynn) Conry, and his sister, Mary Wilson, both of Ooltewah, Tennessee; along with his nieces and nephews, Brandon Conry, Angela (Shane) Pierce, Patrick (Hannah) Wilson, and Oliver Wilson, an aunt, and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, October 23, 2026, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Rev. Brian Squires and Jim Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, and from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the funeral home.
