

Mike E. Conry Jr., 94 of Chattanooga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 1, 2021. A native of Pelham, TN, he has been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. He was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 40 years of service. Mike was a long time member of Silverdale Baptist Church. He had a special love for raising and training horses, especially Tennessee Walking Horses.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and devoted friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Bessie Conry; three grandchildren, Amanda, Kristal and Erik Conry; his sister, Genevieve Goodman; parents, Mike and Allie Conry.
Survivors include his children, Michael (Kathie) Conry III, Mark (Lynn) Conry and Mary (Eddie) Wilson; three grandchildren, Brandon Conry, Angela (Aaron) Pickard and Patrick Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Yates, Aly Pickard and Ely Pickard.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Prime Timers of the Silverdale Baptist Church, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Mark Randolph officiating.
Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 pm until the time of service on Thursday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
