

She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Roddy, grandparents, Jim and Mattie Higgins, Elbert and Elizabeth Roddy, beloved nephew, Little Jim Hill and many special aunts, uncles and wonderful cousins.
She graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School and had attended college at Austin Peay. Pat worked for 36 years in health care, both in the radiology field and in supervision. She retired from Memorial Hospital after 26 years of service and worked for Erlanger Hospital for 10 years.
She served on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House and was active with the Breast Cancer Society and many other charities.
She was of the Church of Christ faith.
Pat’s comfort and patience has touched many lives. Pat was a wonderful person trying always to care for her family, friends and strangers who soon became her friends. She gave of herself everyday to one and all, all the while putting herself last. She was a wonderful daughter, sister and friend. The world has lost a great caregiver.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Elizabeth Roddy, of Ooltewah, TN. (formerly of Hixson, TN.), sister, Linda (Harvey) Robinson, of Ooltewah, TN., brother, Jim Roddy, of Mowbray Mountain, special aunts and uncle, Carolyn and Clarence Yeargan, of Dunlap, TN., and Charlcie Roddy, of Cleveland, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Darryl Ross officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Breast Cancer Society or Hospice of Chattanooga.
