Paul was born January 31, 1934, in Clay County, Alabama to the late Brewer and Ada Brooks.
He was an avid Alabama football fan. “Roll Tide!” He also enjoyed country music. He enjoyed traveling with the Huffman Seniors. Paul was a born-again Christian faithfully attending his church until his health declined.
He was employed at Life of Georgia for many years and later worked for Jeffers’ Trucking Company before retiring.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Edna Juanita Brooks; brother, Larry (Nancy) Ray of Virginia; sister-in-law, Lila Cromwell of Chattanooga; brother-in-law, Bill Steele of Chattanooga; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 12-2 PM at the Valley View Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with Rev. Terry Harris officiating.
A private burial will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum in Birmingham, Alabama.
