Paul E. Michaels, 59, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Monday, January 5, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Ella B. Michaels. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Gann, Willie Hoyt Gann and Walter Gerald Gann. Survivors include two daughters, Rachel Waters and Cristy Michaels both of Ooltewah; sister, Pamela Parton, Lafayette, GA; three grandchildren, Devin Michaels, Jacob Waters and Jesse Waters; brother, Ronnie Lee Michaels, Tellico Plains, TN; two nephews, Benjamin Michaels and Ronnie Michaels. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Michaels officiating. Interment will be in Parker’s Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
