Pastor R. C. Mills, age 94, of Ooltewah, died Monday in Chattanooga.
He was born February 25, 1916 to the late Albert E and Jennie Elizabeth Mills and was preceded in death by his wife Elrita Mills.
Pastor Mills was active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in mission service, as Conference, Union, and Division Treasurer, Business Manager for Southern Adventist University (college), a musician and singer who loved to lead singing and a Sabbath School teacher for 25 years. He was founding president of the Ooltewah- Collegedale Kiwanis Club and was an active member until very recently.
A memorial service will be held Saturday October 30, 2010 at 2:30 pm from the Collegedale Seventh Day Adventist Church with Dr. Gordon Beitz and Rev. Bill Jackson officiating.
Survivors include sons Sid, Robert and Charles Mills, daughter Susan Van Cleve, ten grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
