Rachel Ann Shook

She was born on January 27, 1937 to the late Arch and Kate Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, R.C. Henderson, Olen Henderson, Ernestine McNally, Hazel Bohannon and Stella Flemings.

Rachel was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a prayer warrior and enjoyed teaching faith based classes. Rachel was an avid reader and hard worker. She was an advocate for others and was a champion to the less fortunate.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca (Jim) Shaw of Ooltewah, Tennessee, Don (Kelly) Shook of Collegedale, Tennessee, grandchildren, Kate (Frank) Nappi, Grace Shaw, April (Tim) Burke, great-grandchildren, Lucciana Nappi, Mason, Abby and T.J. Burke, Peyton Thomas, Rylie Lewis, several nieces and nephews and their families.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 2:30 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Mike Lindon and Rev. L.E. Shook officiating.
