Dean Mac was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. After 34 years working at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he retired as Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs. He was an avid reader and had a strong love for books.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roderic and Mary MacDougall, brother, Paul MacDougall and sister, Sister Madeline MacDougall.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth MacDougall of Ooltewah, Tennessee, children, Brian MacDougall, Keith MacDougall, Scott (Maryalice) MacDougall, all of Ooltewah, Tennessee, granddaughter, Elaine MacDougall and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic a memorial service will be held at a later date.
