Shirley was retired from Cigna, and in her spare time she loved Crafts, card making, she was an artist, avid bird watcher. She also loved nature and living in the country.
She was preceded in death by mother, Ruby Varnell; daughter, Terrie Henley Williams; brothers, Ben C. Chastain and Thomas Chastain.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Henley Wilkie and Rob; son, Michael Henley; grandchildren, Shannon Williams Rairden and Jack, Heath Henley, Colin Wilkie and Carey Wilkie; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at New McDonald Cemetery with Pastor Jim Herman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. Thursday before the service, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
