Wilford Steven Amos – 65, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015.
He was the son of the late Wilford and Joyce Amos.
Steven retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad where he worked as a machinist. In his early years he loved to compete in league softball and later in life he developed a passion for road cycling. He had a great sense of humor and loved storytelling and music.
He was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his three children, Steven (Mandy) Amos, of Virginia Beach, VA, Wil Amos, of Ooltewah, TN, Cristin (Geoffrey) Butts, of Nashville, TN, three grandchildren, Chase Amos, Myles Amos, Abraham Butts, brother, Jeff Amos, of Roanoke, VA, and several nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Brother Eric Dill officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
