As a youth, Bob was fond of sports, in particular baseball which he played into his college years and pitched batting practice for the San Diego Padres in 1969. Growing up, and into later life, Bob was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Rams, LA Lakers, and the USC Trojans. Bob credits a great deal of his happiness and success in his life to his grandparents Will and Dorothy Jack who devoted a great deal of love and inspiration in Bob’s youth and into his young adult life.
In both his professional and retirement years, Bob was fortunate to travel extensively visiting such places as the Middle East, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, China, Russia, the Holy Land, and Finland, and was an extensive traveler in North America. Although Bob loved to write, in his later life his views were
published frequently in newspapers throughout the United States including the Las Vegas Sun, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Washington Times, the NY Times and the LA Times.
Bob authored seven books that can be found at Bob Jack books. Bob was a frequent guest on several podcasts.
Bob enjoyed his family and his friendships and found great strength and encouragement in his Christian faith and in Alcoholics Anonymous.
