Bill was born to Willie Mae Morton and Oscar Burl Lillard on March 8, 1932 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Oak Grove Elementary, Eastside Junior High and Central High. After high school, he enlisted in the National Guard. He was a member of Local 43 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. Working for TVA at all the steam plants in the area.
He attended Woodland Park Baptist Church, and was with the Agape Sunday School Class. After retirement, he bought a Motorhome and belonged to the Chattanooga Choo Choo RV Club and the Tennessee Ridge Runners, traveling throughout the United States, making many friends all the way.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Linda Lillard and Rhonda Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen Poole Lillard; daughters, Sheila Helms and Bobbie Lillard, both of Summerville, GA; and many grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 to 1 PM on Thursday, August 25th at the funeral home, followed by funeral services at 1 PM with Rev. Jim Barkley officiating.
Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
