Andrew Tuszynski

Andrew E. Tuszynski, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the age of 97. He was the beloved husband for 67 years of the late Ann; loving father of Peter, Stephen, (Tina), and Maria (Bob) Polacek; cherished grandpa of the late Rae, Katherine (Kevin Hurley, fiancé), Nicholas, Eric (Ashley Pierre) Lutz, Chrisandra (Tyler Corcoran), Alex, CPL Katelyn, USMC; Great grandpa to Owen and Miles.

Andy graduated from Weber high school, served in Army, and worked as a Freight Expediter. He was a very active member of St. Rene; he was in the Ministry of Care, Holy Name, worked St. Rene Bingo and was a member of the Senior Citizens Club. Some of his pastimes include gardening, daily mass, and daily rosary. He will be remembered for his smile and quick wit.

Visitation for Andrew will be on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 9:30 AM., to the start of mass at St. Rene Goupil Church, 6949 W. 63rd Pl., Chicago, IL 60638. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
