Brandi you were such a loving and hard working officer. Always in a great mood and always so positive. Your spirt and your smile lite up the room when ever you entered. On behalf of all the 7-3 Sergeants at the NRC ,sweetie you will be greatly missed ❤

I remember working with her at Stateville NRC and she helped me moved a line of inmates from the health care unit. She was always nice and always spoke to me. I am shocked and sad to hear this. My prayers and condolences to the family and friends.

I remember two years ago starting the academy. Ever since then we have kept close as fellow officers and friends. You had such a positive impact on those of us who knew and worked with you. I still keep waiting for you to come onto the wing, sit down and tell me what you did today. You will be missed dear sister. Let us take it from here.

I met brandi two years ago. August 1 2017 to be exact. We work together and she never ever ever said no to helping me out. Without even having to ask she would volunteer a helping hand. She always had a smile on her face and I loved our chats. We had so much in common, both mothers, both used to run a daycare and where both battling depression. She was there for me when my 13 year old passed away and was always so kind. I will miss you my friend and I know you are no longer in pain. Love you. Yazmin

Melissa was so proud of you and spoke highly of you. She really enjoyed the time spent with you and we always enjoyed the leftovers from your cooking that she bought to work for lunch. May the Lord continue to watch over Melissa, your children and family. May you rest in the favor of the Lord.

Brandi will definitely be MISSED BY MANY. I haven't seen her in years or spoken to her in a while but I do know she loved kids and she gave birth to 4 children. We always had fun as kids in the creek swimming in the pond and walking the trail that took us to our Aunt Chris and Uncle Brian's house from brandis house. Brandi is now with her DAD in heaven and her Uncle Brian that have passed. Rest easy beautiful angel.

Brandi and I grew up together as friends and cousins. When we were little girls, we would play house on a daily basis. We enjoyed spending the night at each other’s houses, sleeping in a tent, her corn crib, playing in the pallet fort and pushing our baby dolls in strollers down our long shared driveway. I’d watch her catch crayfish out of the creek as I was too “prissy” to touch any animal. Brandi loved animals and didn’t mind getting dirty. She was a tough girl. I adored her and have such fond memories of our childhood together. When I had my first child she gifted me oodles of adorable clothes for my Holly. I’ll never forget her kind ways, her spirit, and generosity. She loved children and was an excellent day care provider for so many folks. She went on to birth four beautiful babies of her own and I can only hope they know how much she loved them. She boasted to me her love for Melissa and she seemed so happy with her new job. I may never know her last thoughts but she is now at peace, gone but never forgotten~ Christina (Brugel) Perkins

I am sorry for your loss. Brandi was a very kind-hearted person to work with. I only had the opportunity to speak to her a few times, but she lit up the work place when she would pass in the halls. Very sad. Brandi will be very missed.
