Brian David Godlewski, 35, of Huntsville, AL tragically passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026 due to a long-standing battle with kidney disease and autoimmune complications.
Born on January 12, 1991, in East Norriton, PA he was the cherished son of Ronald W. and Christine S (Kazibut) Godlewski, and loved dearly by his older brother, Daniel. During his high school years he preferred science and math and also served on the student council. He went on to receive a scholarship at Drexel University where he later attended. Throughout grade school and high school, he enjoyed playing soccer, but hockey was his passion. He played on both local and travel teams and was selected for Nationals. He may not have always gotten up for school on time but never seemed to have trouble getting up at three in the morning to go to a hockey tournament.
Brian was known among his friends for his kindness and thoughtful nature. He had a way about him that could make a person smile - even if you didn’t want to that day. When Brian was not with family and friends, his focus was on new technologies, computer gaming, and politics. Holidays were some of his favorite times because his brother would visit from California and they would share special times together. We shared much family time on our boat, Mazzi included, catching some sunshine and an occasional fish! He was adamant about keeping that boat cleaned and polished. He enjoyed car races and loved going on long weekends at Talladega Raceway with his father and cousins. Just a few short months ago Brian added his dog, Mazzi, to his family. The two went everywhere together and he sweetly referred to her as “my little one”.
Brian had wonderful people skills which led him to a career as Regional Director in the hospitality sector. His path took him from Pennsylvania to California and finally to Alabama. He could diffuse some of the most difficult situations leaving everyone satisfied and coming back.
Brian will be buried near his grandparents, great grandparents and other relatives where they all will be able to watch over him.
Brian is survived by his parents, Ron and Christine, his brother Daniel, Grandmothers Patricia and Lorraine, and many aunts, uncles, Godparents, nephews, cousins, and friends. All of whom he loved dearly.
