Hello,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Crescencio.  I worked with him at the beginning of my career with PepsiCo.  He was a wonderful mentor. My heart goes out to your family at this time.


My condolences and prayers for all the members of the Castro family on the passing of Crescencio. 
It was in the late 1990's when Crescencio assisted me as a chef when I held dinners and cocktail parties for the members of the Board of Holy Trinity High School. He was always jovial and reliable and would work until the last course was served and then the last dish was cleaned. 
My fondest memory of his work was during a Christmas Party. The kitchen of the house was tiny, and we were cooking for over 100 persons. Because of lack of space, we had to do some of the preparation on the patio. During a raging snowstorm, Crescencio was on that patio that was swirling with heavy snow. He was grilling lamb chops, many, many lamb chops - like 800 or so. He held his ground, doing a great job as he turned out perfectly grilled chops.  
When that task was completed, he said to me, "That was fun! What's next." A truly fine guy.

To Crescencio’s family and friends, the world is a shade less bright without Crescencio in it.   Thinking of you during this time of sudden and significant loss.  

Crescencio, 
I remember moving from Pennsylvania to Illinois to join  The Quaker Oats company just  a few months after you, and how you made me feel welcome almost immediately.  I recall some fun group dinner adventures in those early periods, which led me to appreciate the amazing food that can be found in Chicago.  I enjoyed our conversations on the train and learned about car repairs, good food,  and the city,  among many other things.  

Lastly, I’ll remember your ability to bring smiles and laughter to those around you, whether as a softball teammate, a bowling competitor, or many of the times you volunteered in the community.  

Thanks for the moments you’ve  left with each of us.

Crescencio and I met the summer between high school graduation and our first year of college.  That was over 35 years ago!  We were instant friends - through the years I feel he was like a brother.
I met Familia Castro - the whole clan - via Crescencio. And what most do not know is that it was because of Crescencio that I met my wife.
So he has enriched my life by me knowing his family, meeting my wife, our subsequent children and of course, by knowing him. 
I have such amazing memories of our times together.  So pleased we did not have cell phones back then to document some of the stuff we did.

First and foremost, my most deepest condolences to the entire Castro family, especially his baby sister Maria.  It feels like a dream that I am writing this now....

I was very fortunate to know Chencho well. He and I were Maria's assistant planners when it came to parties or work around the house. Chencho always greeted me with a smile and helping hand.  His smile was infectious. His laughter like no other.  A true kid at heart. 

Chencho was also a sweet & kind man. A very loyal brother & helper to my dear friend Maria. A fun-loving uncle to my godson Aiden. A loving dad to his son Evan. Simply a kind soul. Chencho has left a big void in all of us. Bigger than he could have imagined.

Chencho, my friend, I will continue to pray for you & your family. Please know you will forever be missed but NEVER forgotten. Perhaps this world was no longer for you... only God knows why he took you too soon. But I trust and believe in his timing. I know you will be ok in heaven. You will probably cause havoc up there as well (I'm laughing and crying at the same time). Learn new things up there. Send us signs (I think I've already received a few from you). Know you are always loved. Continue to watch over your family from above. I will watch over Maria. I know I won't be able to fill your shoes, but I will try. Until we meet again.... Rest in peace, my dear friend

His loss is felt in Arizona and l'm sure beyond many state lines. His contagious smile, infectious humor and young soul will forever be missed. Thank you for the great memories full of smiles and adventures filled with laughter. Like the time, in Florida, where you attempted a U-turn over a median and GOT THE CAR STUCK ON THE MEDIAN. We all had to get out of the car and recall all of us dying of laughter! The best part of the trip was when you left your butt print on the rear side window after you mooned, pretty sure it was Manuel, in Orlando. We couldn't stop laughing that night. Thank you.
