Con profundo amor y pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Efren Ramirez, el día 11 de Septiembre a la edad de 72 años, un devoto esposo, padre, abuelo, hermano y amigo.

Efren fue un hombre cuya presencia iluminaba todo lugar al que llegaba. Con la música en el corazón y el baile en el alma, nunca perdió la oportunidad de celebrar la vida a través del movimiento y la canción. También tenía una gran pasión por los deportes, ya fuera animando a sus equipos favoritos o compartiendo el amor por el juego con su familia y amigos.

Tenía un don especial para dar alegría a los demás, ya fuera en la pista de baile, viendo un partido, compartiendo una risa o tendiendo una mano amiga.

Un verdadero pilar de su comunidad, Efren dedicó su vida a servir a los demás. Siempre era el primero en ofrecerse cuando alguien—familia, amigo, o vecino—lo necesitaba, brindando fortaleza, bondad y generosidad sin dudarlo. Su legado de compasión y servicio seguirá presente en la vida de todos los que lo conocieron.

Sobre todo, Efren valoraba profundamente a su familia. Fue un esposo orgulloso y amoroso, un padre y abuelo entregado, y un hermano solidario. Su sabiduría, calidez y alegría vivirán para siempre en los corazones de quienes más lo amaron.

Efren deja en vida a su amada esposa, Alicia Ramírez; sus hijos, Rosa y Martha Ramírez y fue precedido en la muerte por su amado hijo, Horacio Ramírez; sus nietos, Leslie Hernandez , Camila Flores, Juan Hernandez, Joel Hernandez, Alondra Flores, and Ricky Flores; sus hermanos, Teresa Ramirez, Guadalupe Arroyo, Mercedes Rabadan, Lucila Gallardo, Ricardo Ramirez, Rigoberto Ramirez y Lourdes Ramirez; y a innumerables familiares y amigos que tuvieron la bendición de conocerlo.

La celebración de la vida de Efren se llevará a cabo el Martes 16 de Septiembre en Ridge Funeral Home 6620 W. Archer Ave., Chicago, IL. 60638. Se invita a familiares y seres queridos a unirse para honrar su memoria, compartir recuerdos, y celebrar la música, los deportes, el baile, y el amor que definieron su vida extraordinaria.

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Efren Ramirez on September 11, 2025 at the age of 72, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Efren was a man whose presence lit up every room he entered. With music in his heart and dancing in his soul, he never missed a chance to celebrate life through movement and song. He also had a passion for sports, whether cheering on his favorite teams or sharing the love of the game with family and friends. He had a gift for bringing joy to others, whether it was on the dance floor, watching a game, through a shared laugh, or lending a helping hand.

A true pillar of his community, Efren dedicated his life to serving others. He was the first to step forward when anyone—family, friend, or neighbor—was in need, offering strength, kindness, and generosity without hesitation. His legacy of compassion and service will continue to ripple through the lives of all who knew him.

Above all, Efren cherished his family. He was a proud and loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, and a supportive brother. His wisdom, warmth, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those he loved most.

Efren is survived by his beloved wife, Alicia Ramirez ; his children, Rosa and Martha Ramirez, he was preceded in death by his beloved son Horacio Ramirez; his grandchildren, Leslie Hernandez, Camila Flores, Juan Hernandez, Joel Hernandez, Alondra Flores, and Ricky Flores; his siblings, Teresa Ramirez, Guadalupe Arroyo, Mercedes Rabadan, Lucila Gallardo, Ricardo Ramirez, Rigoberto Ramirez y Lourdes Ramirez; and countless extended family and friends who were blessed to know him.

A celebration of Efren’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, from 4:00 PM. to 8:00 PM., at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL. 60638. Prayer service on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 9:15 AM., at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM., at St. Leonard Church, 3318 South Clarence Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402. Graveside Service at Saint Mary Cemetery, 87th Street & Hamlin Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL 60805.
