James Alexander Sienkiewicz of Chicago , age 84, of Chicago, passed away peacefully the morning of July 2. 2026 in Berwyn Illinois. James was born December 5, 1941 to Frank Sienkiewicz and Tillie Gartner.
James was proceeded in death by his father Frank Sienkiewicz , his mother, Tillie Gartner, stepfather, Robert Gartner, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by cousins Thomas Marshall (Elaine Murphy), William Marshall (Rida Brown), Nancy (Dauer) Brieschke, Marjorie Dauer and Edward Kearns. And many Godchildren.
James worked for the City of El Paso, Texas until his retirement in 2006. He then returned to live in Chicago. He is known for his warm smile, and kindness to everyone that he encountered. His love for family gatherings was well known.
Visitation this Thursday, July 9 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Ridge funeral home 6620 West Archer Ave., Chicago, IL.
A celebration of life will be held Friday July 10th, 10 A.M. at Saint Daniel the Prophet Church 6612 W. 54th St., Chicago, IL
Burial will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery 41st St. and Oak Park Ave., Stickney, IL following the celebration of life.
