Janina Liszka, 80, passed away on October 24, 2026. Born on June 12, 1946, in Poland, Janina carried forward a steady devotion to family and faith throughout her life, offering compassion in the ways she cared, listened, and remained present for those who needed her.
Janina was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Andrew; loving mother of Bogumila (Howard) Cliff and the late Renata Liszka Best; cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Chad) Carlson, Lauren Best, Katherine (Seth) Edwards, Megan Best, Angela Cliff and the late Jennifer Cliff; devoted great-grandma of Waylon and Walker; dear godmother, aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Visitation will be held at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638, on October 31, 2026, from 8:30 am to 9:00 am. Closing Prayers will follow at Ridge Funeral Home on October 31, 2026, at 9:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 5252 S. Austin Avenue, Chicago, IL 60638, on October 31, 2026, at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums, 7201 Archer Rd, Justice, IL 60458, on October 31, 2026.
