

Jean V. Franczyk passed away on January 12, 2026 at the age of 91. Jean is now in the loving arms of Jesus. Jean will be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Jean was born to John and Victoria Jamraz. She grew up and lived in the Chicago area all her life. While raising her five daughters, Jean worked part time at Cupid Candies. Jean loved and cherished her daughters and being a homemaker.
Jean is the beloved wife of the late Richard Franczyk. Loving, kind, and devoted mother of Victoria Wiencek, Carol (Mike) Furco, Kathleen (Carl) Beckman, Lisa Lordo, and the late Michelle (Peter) Wilczak. Loving sister of Evelyn McElroy and Sylvia Mulligan, and the late Ann, Helen, Diane, Alice, Stanley, Joseph, and Edwin. Loving grandmother of Nicole (Matthew) Lutzka; Lesley (Nate) Talley; Heather, James (Arif), Brandon (Kristin) and Ryan Cross; Preston, Kent (Abigail), and Ericka Beckman; Leah (Jon) Pohlman, Jacob (Lauren), Jordan, and Calvin Lordo; and Gabrielle, Grace, and Owen Wilczak. Great grandmother, great great grandmother, and aunt of many.
Jean enjoyed going to the movies, playing Bingo, word search puzzles, and watching her favorite T.V. show “The Golden Girls.” Jean will be missed beyond belief.
Jean’s family would like to thank the staff at British Homes and Suncrest Hospice for their care of Jean.

A visitation will be held on January 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St Symphorosa Catholic Church (Two Holy Martyrs Parish), located at 6135 S Austin Ave, Chicago, IL, 60638.
Mass of Christian Burial following the visitation at 11:00 am
The committal service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, Justice, IL, 60458.
