There are no words that that truly describe what you were to me…..for 15 years you where a friend a big brother a role model. A shoulder to lean on, a pick me up when I was at my lowest. A great listener an old school gentleman .and you have played a big hand in who I am today. It was an honor knowing you. I will miss you and carry you with me all my life. I am truly sorry I was not there for you when you needed me.

John, I've sat here and looked at this blank screen for over 45 minutes trying to put in words what you meant to me.
You were always my angel by making sure I was in a cab & would leave $20 without me knowing. Just by looking at my face you could tell I had a bad day, and say something to make me smile. You were soooo giving that you would give me the shirt off your back.
My friend, I hope you have found that place you were looking for.
I love you, and WILL never forget you.

John, my fondest memory was when we took cousin Rob's VW Rabbit to Poplar Creek for the New Order concert when we were 15. Driving a stick-shift without a Driver's License defines how care-free and fearless we were as kids. That defined your personality and what you were willing to do as a friend. I will never forget all the times we spent laughing and sharing unforgettable moments together. I will miss you.

My condolences to John's immediate family. It is my truest hope that the future brings with it peace and understanding to you all.
I met John many years ago through great friends and that is exactly what he instantly became, a great friend. Every time I saw or ran into John, he truly was like a breath of fresh air. We shared good talks. He listened and laughed... with that contagious laugh of his. There was absolutely no way one could not smile while being around him. So every time I think of you, John, I will smile. I am forever grateful to you for this gift.
Rest in peace, good friend.

John,
You're still here in my heart and mind,
still making me laugh cause your stories live on.
I hold you in a thought and I can feel you.
I feel you and this gives me strength and courage.
The tears I have cried for you could flood the earth
and I know you have wiped each one away.
For you Brother, I promise you this,
I will go on with my life and make you proud. I will always hold you in my heart.
I promise you I will be missing you everyday till the end of time,
but this is not my end and I can't hold my head underwater....I need to breathe.
I need to love and miss you, but I also need to live because through me you will live,
you will still laugh and love,
you will still sing and dance,
you will still hug and kiss.
You will forever be in our lives,
you will forever be a brother,
a son,
an uncle
and friend.
I am going to miss your shining face
I think of you and wonder why?
I might cry or smile,
but at the end of the day I am one day closer to you my brother.

My life has always been mirrored with my brothers, the similarities and differences. How could it not, he was my twin. I feel like half of me is gone. And I don't know if it can ever be filled. I still feel him, weird to imagine, but more now than before. I will do right by you, John... always there for your kids. Give dad a big hug for me, one day we'll be together again. Until then, I'll do you proud... because I'm John Allen's sister.
Thanks for sending me all the signs in the past week that you are at peace. You've always been the prankster. Please keep sending them my way. I need them.
