Joseph M. Maratto, 64, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012; current police officer with Chicago Aviation Police, retired Lieutenant 41 years C.P.D. and Army Veteran; beloved husband of Kathy nee Mayfield; loving father of Dan; dear brother of Michael Maratto, Concetta "Cookie" (the late Richard) Giancarlo, Eleanor "Sugar" (the late Ed) Colby and Salvatore "Jockey" Maratto; brother-in-law of Joan (the late Edward) Rolek and Ken Mayfield; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Service Friday, December 28th, 10 a.m. at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Ave. (corner of Natoma) Chicago. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice. Visitation Thursday, December 27th, 3 to 9 p.m. (773) 586-7900.
