Josephine Helen Teska

Josephine H (Kluk) Teska, age 95, of Chicago, IL passed away Friday June 6th, 2026 in her loving home. She was the Loving wife of Robert J Teska Jr since August 27th 1950, until the time of his death April of 1992. Daughter of John and Helen (Tylutki) Kluk. Fond Sister of 6 siblings; Mary, Walter, Julie, Eddie, Jennie, Frank.

She is the wonderful mother of 7 children; Pamela (Mark) Laskowski, Kathleen Teska (Tony A.), Marcella (Daniel) Downing, Deborah (Thomas) Pryslak, Victoria (Stephen) Bergren, Margaret Teska, Paul - deceased (Laura). Loving Grandmother of 18 and Great grandmother of 17

Graduate of Harrison High School, “one of the six slick chicks”, She loved working in the nursery at St Anthony’s hospital for over 20 yrs. (”So much so that when a mother didn’t want her child she would call dad to ask if she could bring the baby home”), Banquet waitress at the Knights Club (fun, fun, fun), avid 300 bowler, loved playing the piano, Loved music and dancing, there wasn’t a home improvement project she couldn’t tackle, Loved ducks…Hated the zoo. She dabbled in art, macrame, calligraphy, and misc. sewing projects. In her later years she enjoyed her video poker. Mom enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the planes take off and watching life of the birds and lighting her punks (incense).

Visitation will be held at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638, on June 12, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on June 13, 2026, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.

A Religious Ceremony will take place at St Richard Catholic Church (St Bruno-St Richard Parish), 5032 S Kostner Ave, Chicago, IL 60632, on June 13, 2026, at 10:00 am

A Committal Service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums, 7201 Archer Rd, Justice, IL 60458, on June 13, 2026.
