Luis Zambrano Sr.

Luis Zambrano Sr. Born in LaPiedad, Michoacan Mexico. Son of Eutimio and Juanita Bravo Zambrano. Beloved and devoted husband to Carmen (nee Ruelas) of 56 years. Loving father of Diana (Triumf) Intrizai, Luis Jr. (Guicho), and Cari. Cherished grandfather of Kristina Alicia, Erik Anthony, Sonja Alexa, Amani Mari, and Brandin Luis. Luis started cutting hair at the age of 17. He came to the US in 1955 and attended Moler Barber College and graduated as a Master Barber. He worked at his first barber shop on 18th and Ashland Avenue for 8 years. He then was a self-employed barber for over 56 years. He owned Luis Barbershop on 26th and California serving the community for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Maurice Church in McKinley Park and a devoted patron of St. Jude Shrine in South Chicago. He enjoyed playing soccer and belonged to the Atlas Soccer Club. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, and friend to many he touched and will truly be missed. Funeral Friday 9:30am from Ridge Funeral Home 6620 W. Archer Ave. (Corner of Natoma) for a 10am mass at St. Joseph Church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3-8pm. 773-586-7900.
