Our querida mother, Margarita G. Lopez, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Margarita was born on June 2, 1933, in Acámbaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, to José and María Socorro Guevara. She devoted her life to her family and her faith, raising her four children with love, guidance, and a strong sense of independence. She found joy in cooking, baking, gardening, and decorating her home for every season, both inside and out.

Margarita is survived by her children, their spouses and partners: the memory of her beloved husband, Espiridion A. Lopez, daughters Rebecca Lopez (Mario Ramirez), Claudia Fortuna, Marisa Lopez, and son Roberto Lopez (Victoria Aguirre); her three grandchildren, Giovanna Fortuna (Bryan Prado) (daughter of John Fortuna), Alexis Lopez, and the memory of her beloved granddaughter, Isabel Lopez; her sister, Bertha Socorro Guevara; her brothers, José Luis Guevara and Ricardo Guevara; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

The family invites our family and friends to share memories and celebrate a life well lived.
