Martin Ramirez

Martin Ramirez, lovingly known by family and friends as “Gone,” passed away tragically on November 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and an unshakable ability to brighten every room he entered. He was deeply cherished by all who knew him and will forever be remembered for his warm heart and the joy he brought to others.

Born to Jesus Ramirez and Elvira Hernandez, Martin was a man who lived life fully and generously. He never missed a chance to make someone smile, and his humor was a gift he freely shared with everyone around him. To his family, he was a source of strength; to his friends, a loyal companion; and to the community, a beloved presence who made a lasting impact.

Although Martin did not have children of his own, he held Jesus Ramirez and Rocio Rodriguez close to his heart and considered them family, along with their four children, whom he loved deeply and treated as his own. His devotion to them was a reflection of his generous spirit and the strong bonds he built throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving family, who will carry his memory with them always. Though his passing leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, his spirit lives on in the countless moments of laughter, love, and connection he created.

The family invites all who knew and loved Martin to join them in honoring his life. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ridge Funeral Home.Funeral Mass will take place at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (Cristo Rey Parish), located at 2735 S Kolin Ave, Chicago, IL 60623, on November 29, 2025, at 9:30 am.

His memory will forever be a reminder of the power of joy, compassion, and a life lived with an open heart.

Martin Ramirez, conocido con cariño por familiares y amigos como “Gone,” falleció trágicamente el 17 de noviembre de 2025, dejando un legado de risas, bondad y una capacidad inigualable para iluminar cada lugar al que llegaba. Hijo de Jesús Ramirez y Elvira Hernandez, Martin fue un hombre que vivió la vida plenamente y con generosidad.
