Mary Lou Velazquez

She was the beloved daughter of the late Tito Velazquez and the late Irene G. Velazquez. The beautiful sister to Victor Velazquez, the late Anthony "Tony" Velazquez, Catalina Velazquez, Susan Velazquez (Jose L. Galvan), Oliver Velazquez (Eva Lopez). Cherished aunt to Juan (Sandra Aguilar), the late Anthony "Tony", Victor, Nikko, Ariana (Dominic Pedota), Adriana, Oliver J, and Evy. Loving great-aunt to Julian (Diana Olgin), Juanito, Sofia, Ezekiel and Lucas. She was a caring cousin, Godmother and friend to many. She was a nurturing motherly mentor to so many children in the Pilsen community, particularly to all of her students and the families who attended El Hogar Del Nino Daycare who loved and cherished her. She will be deeply missed for her witty humor, generosity, encouragement and kindness to others.

Visitation for Mary Lou will be on Friday, April 10th from 4pm-8pm at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638.

Family and friends will meet at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 2127 W 22nd Pl, Chicago, IL 60608 on Saturday, April 11th, 2026 for a visitation from 9am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10am.
