Mary Inez McLean

Mary Inez McLean passed away on December 22, 2019 at the age of eighty-eight.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Neri. Loving mother of the late Michael McLean, daughter Patricia Ponce, daughter-in-law Andrea, niece Margaret, nephew Gene, grandchildren and great-grandchildren which created the families that grew around her. Mary is loved and missed by all who knew her.

Mary was born on August 12, 1931 in Chicago and lived most of her life in the city always surrounded by family developing the sharp wit by which she came to be known. Her careers through the years included owning a small store and working at places like the iconic ARRCO Playing Card Company and McNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois. She was a big fan of word games and puzzles, often playing into the late hours of the night. She always welcomed people into her home for family events sharing the stories of her life and providing colorful themes as we wrote our own stories. She devoted her life to her family and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ridge Funeral Home (Edward A.
