My sincere condolences to Nelda's family.

Nelda was a ball of energy, the life of any party. She had a way of connecting with people on a very personal level. Maybe it was her willingness to share her personal and family stories. From what I can tell, she definitely lived a full life, even though it seemed to be cut short by age. She touched more lives, made more memories and drank more margaritas than the average 90-year-old. I hope Munchi, Natalie and Adam agrees and hope this gives you some comfort.  Your mom has gone through life's ups and downs with grace and smiles. I am sure she would want nothing more than to see all of you do well and keep smiling at whatever life throws at you.

My fondest memories of Nelda are her stories of fun weekend outings(we had a couple of those together), morning-coffee-break runs to McDonald's(thanks Nelda for turning me into a coffee drinker ;) ), running along the lake during lunch breaks, her perfect cartwheels while tailgating at White Sox game, weight loss challenges with colleagues, and working out at 3M on our lunch breaks while working with her at CCAO.

God called you home with His reasons and on His terms. Rest well, my friend. You will be missed.

I worked with Nelda at the Cook County Assessor's Office--CCAO for short.  Where she was kind, friendly, and always eager to help.  Her passing leaves a sadness in my heart that only time will heal.

Beautiful Nelda had a heart of gold❤️. Her big smile,  positive attitude, and kindness to everyone was so unique and she was loved by so many. My sincere condolences to the entire family🙏🏼. Nelda will always be remembered.

We often shared stories about how much we enjoyed and loved being grandparents.  She was a great colleague. May God continue to comfort you all during this difficult time.
