Robert Burke

Robert “Bobby” Burke, 56, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026.

He is now reunited with his beloved parents, James and Margaret Burke.

Bobby is survived by his siblings, James, David (Kathleen), Kevin (Megan), and Laura (Joseph). He was a cherished uncle who was deeply loved by his nieces and nephews: Kevin, Julian, Kailey, Angela, Julia, Emma, David, Caitlin, and James.

Bobby took great pride in his work as a decorator with USW Local 17U. While he enjoyed his work, his true passion was fishing. Whether he was on an adventure with his dad, brothers, and friends, or simply casting a line from a dock with the kids, Bobby was most at peace when he was fishing. He loved the outdoors and, most of all, sharing that love with the people closest to him.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lake Katherine Nature Center in Palos Heights, whose mission connects people to nature through education, recreation, and restoration. This would be a meaningful tribute to Bobby, who loved nothing more than taking his nieces and nephews fishing and passes along his love of the outdoors to the next generation.

Bobby will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
