Jennie "Jean" Inez Evers (Ackersviller) Martin of Chilliwack, BC, passed away on January 7th, 2026 at the age of 95. She was born on January 10th, 1930 in Stratford, Ontario, where she grew up on her parents' family farm. She worked alongside her first husband, Elmer Evers, as they established and grew their home construction business, E.D. Evers Construction Lmt. She was actively involved in her church community. Her kindness and gift of hospitality extended to all.
Jean is preceded in death by her Parents, Harry and Margaret Ackersviller; her first Husband, Elmer Evers; Daughter, Connie Buzikievich; as well as 6 Brothers and two Sisters. She is survived by her Husband, Elmer Martin; Daughter, Pat Weiler; Step-Daughter, Bonnie Ashley (David); Son-In-Law, David Buzikievich; as well as nine Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
Jean will be remembered by many for her love for Jesus, which was so evident in her interest, care, and love for others. She had a contagious smile and a joy that she shared with everyone. Despite her health challenges in the last number of months, she remained and kept her faith and trust in her Lord and Saviour.
