Dr. Ambrosio "Butch" Manuel de la Cruz

The heaven opened its majestic kingdom for the persevering and generous soul of an irreplaceable father, uncle, brother, grandpa-lolo, educator, friend - Dr. Butch. At 86 years old, Dr. Butch journeyed his final, well-lived life on All Saints’ Day, November 2, 2025, in San Diego, California. It was a serene passing in the loving embrace of his daughter, Marlyn Ferrer.

Dr. Ambrosio “Butch” Manuel dela Cruz was a loving and thoughtful

father & father in-law to Marlyn and Jethro, a loving grandpa to Jade, Nikki and Miko.

He was fondly addressed as the respectable “Eming” by his sisters, Mrs.Teodocia Aglibut † and Mrs. Ester Pableo. He will be missed as beloved “Uncle Butch”, “Grandpa & Lolo Butch” by his nieces and nephews, grandchildren, & great grandchildren. Widely known by his colleagues as “Dr. Butch”, his educator life story was focused mostly on his highly competent leadership, academic

improvement, seminars on organizational, thousands of classroom lectures, and for as long as he was able in his last years and months. His valuable and empowering insights will continually be well noted by his students and colleagues.

He had sprinkled the fruits of his exceptional work ethic and pieces of his wisdom to each of his family. He will be greatly remembered for his love,generosity, sincerity. A great provider and selfless in many ways.

Heaven rejoices as Dr. Ambrosio “Butch” “Eming” dela Cruz now joins his adorable mother the late, Mrs. Rosita Narsico Manuel, his kind-hearted late father, Marcelo Bulan Dela Cruz and his elder sister, Teodocia Aglibut in God’s eternal dwelling.
