Anthony Alfred Garcia

Anthony A. Garcia, 49 years of age, of Chula Vista, California passed away on August 26, 2014. Anthony was born in Los Angeles, California to parents Joe and Bernadette Gallardo. As a young child Anthony was brought to San Diego, where he was raised and attended school. In March of 2002, Anthony married Myrna Ortiz of Chula Vista.

Anthony had a career in Counseling. His passions in life included fishing, gardening, working on old classic cars, and building things with his hands. His favorite pass time was spending time with family and enjoying his grandson, Daniel. Anthony will be remembered for his love of all things "John Wayne" and for helping others, last and foremost.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Myrna Garcia, his son Marco Diaz, his daughter-in-law, Nelly, and his grandson Daniel Diaz. His is survived by his five siblings; Sandra, Gilbert, Becky, Riva and Tina, all from San Diego.

A mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 345 Anita Street, Chula Vista, CA on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. Final resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego.
