

Baltazar Garcia, 89, passed away Sunday morning, July 2, 2017, he was born February 16, 1928 in Miami, AZ to the late Paula Orozco and Roman Garcia of Phoenix, AZ, he was the second to the youngest of 8 children.
Baltazar served in the Army as ordinance handler and was sent to Korea. He met his wife Elisa Macias in Mexicali, Mexico and was married in 1957. He was a member of the Construction Laborers Union and worked for many years until he retired in 1982; He was also a member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his sons Roman Garcia and Armando Garcia and his wife Elisa Macias de Garcia and all his siblings. He is survived by three sisters-in-law Panchita Garcia, Norma Flores and Lydia Gallardo and six daughters, Elisa and Harry Viscarra of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Diana Rangel of Tijuana, Mexico, Elvia and Jorge Leon of Tijuana, Mexico, Velia and Phillip Staples of Laurier, Washington, Noemi and Jimi Laughery of Chula Vista, California and Iliana Garcia of Tijuana, Mexico; 16 grandchildren, Eric Viscarra, George Viscarra, Michelle Rangel, David Rangel, Daniel Rangel, Carolina Leon, Jorge Leon, Alex Staples, Ashley Staples, Amber Staples, Tiffany Sojo, Gizelle Sojo, Iliana Redondo, Armando Redondo, Leslie Redondo. 22 great-grandchildren and many other loving nephews, nieces and relatives.
Visitation and Rosaryl services will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at 6 pm at Funeraria del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway in Chula Vista, followed by the Funeral home chapel service at 11:30 am. Burial will follow on July 20th at Miramar National Cemetery at 2pm.
