Betty was active in Girl Scouts, the Backyard Swim Program, where she served as a Water Safety Instructor, and in her later years, as a happy member of a local gym's Senior Aerobics Class. Betty was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2002 and fought it with her usual determination until she could fight no more.Husband Norman Whitehouse, children Carolyn and Sandra, and three grandchildren Kai, Sage and Evan survive Betty.
