

Carmen Corona Varela, 84 years old died in her home Menifee, California on Friday the 2nd day of September 2016. After her Valiant fight with cancer in 2011, her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends and support which carried her to live 5 more years before the Lord called upon her. Born on January 28, 1932 to the proud parents, Ruben and Elena Corona. Carmen Varela was the 5th of 12 siblings who was born in Ventura, California. Carmen moved to San Diego County where she met her one and only true love, Antonio Acosta Varela. They were married for 52 years before she became widowed. Together they had 11 children, 21 grandkids and 16 great grandchildren. No matter what season or type of whether you could always count that she would be tending to her garden. She loved the blooming flowers of spring and the fallen leaves of autumn. If you have ever visited her home, you would have at one point tasted her fabulous cooking. She loved to cook and feed her family and guests. Her house was filled with laughter and the smell of great food. Her biggest passion was to clean as by now you all should know. When she was not attending her garden , cooking or cleaning you would find her crocheting as she hummed away in contentment. Mothers are protective to their children because of love. Her love for her children and grandchildren was an unmeasured type of love and protection that could not be expressed. She has and will always love and protect those that were in her heart.
