Cecilia G. Waldrep was born on September 18,1931, to the union of Gorgonio Gonzales and Clotilde Romero in Chula Vista, California. In Cecilia's adolescent years, she was raised in the country part of southern California. She graduated from Sweetwater High School receiving her high school diploma.
Cecilia was also known to many as Sheila or Grandma.
As a young adult, Cecilia started a career at Rohr Industries as a Structural assembler. Her position helped with the construction of Boeing floors on various aircraft and fighter jets. This department was all men and she was the only women. She worked at Rohr Industries for many years following her well earned retirement from the company.
Cecilia enjoyed watching the San Diego Padres and Chargers games. She also had a deep passion for making beautiful quilts. Some of her other enjoyments were taking her loved ones on trips to amusement parks such as Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. When taking trips to the zoo she would always find time to visit her favorite animal the koalas.
Cecilia was a very spiritual woman who was incredibly involved in the Church of the Most Precious Blood. For the most of her adult life, she would visit the Blessed Sacrament at the Church of the Most Previous Blood multiple times a week for many years.
Cecilia did not have children of her own, so her nieces Teresa and Shelia were her children. Living in the country, riding motorcycles, hunting, camping and having horses in the corrals. This was a big part of her life. Cecilia was a very selfless woman who always smiled and was willing to go the extra mile to be able to have such memorable moments with friend and family.
Cecilia will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
